Effective September 24, º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University and the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) have completed a memorandum of understanding that will allow º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ economics majors to apply for summer internships at the CBA Training and Research Centre in Dilijan, Armenia. In this internship, students will be provided a CBA research mentor, have options to work with a variety of CBA datasets, and collaborate with other interns. The internship is fully funded, with students provided with food and lodging at the CBA and a workspace (only international travel is not provided by the CBA). In the spring, º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ students will be invited to apply for the summer 2026 internship program.
º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University is the first US liberal arts college to sign an MOU with the CBA, and joins Harvard, MIT, and other prestigious universities in the US and abroad to have this partnership.
The signing of the MOU was facilitated by Assistant Professor David Murphy while on a Kallgren grant-funded trip to Armenia and Georgia during the summer of 2025.
