Associate Professor of Epidemiology Bineyam Taye and Angie Zhu ’26 conducted a 2025 study, supported by a grant from the Picker Interdisciplinary Science Institute, examining how household food insecurity influences gut microbiome composition of Ethiopian schoolchildren.

º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University Dean of Students Dorsey Spencer was selected by the HBCU Executive Leadership Institute at Clark Atlanta University to be a part of its 2026 Community of Fellows.

This academic year marks the 10th anniversary of Ciccone Commons, the first Residential Commons established at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University. Since its launch in 2015, the program has grown to four communities that gather students with similar interests and passions to extend learning beyond the classroom.

The award is one of NASPA’s highest distinctions, honoring individuals who have excelled in scholarship, mentorship, and service.

Primary Trust, by Eboni Booth, is the first play chosen by the Community Reads selection committee.

The events were in coordination with º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½'s Arts, Creativity, and Innovation Initiative, presented by Living Writers, University Museums, and the Ryan Family Film Series.

The chapter was honored with both the Premio Octavio Paz and Premio Jose Martel Award, presented at the National Triennial Convention in Panama City, Panama.
