Launched in 2021, the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ Commitment is a milestone in the University’s efforts to make a º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ education accessible to talented, high-achieving students, regardless of socioeconomic background.
Enriching the Residential Experience
As a four-year residential university, º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ has significantly invested in the residential life experience. In years to come, º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ will rejuvenate the physical spaces along Broad and College streets, reimagining and creating equity in the spaces where juniors and seniors live and interact.
In addition, º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ will develop a fifth Residential Commons to fully develop the Residential Commons system, where first and second-year students experience tradition, build class unity, and cultivate an affinity for º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½.
Support for Debate and Discourse
º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s commitment to academic freedom and freedom of expression is active and ongoing. With empathy and intellectual curiosity, the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ community engages in lively debate and rigorous academic discourse, both in and out of the classroom.
Expanding Faculty Support
A university is, at its core, the product of the people it attracts and a union of individuals in service of learning. º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ is taking the necessary steps to ensure that it attracts faculty of remarkable promise and achievement. º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ plans to endow 25 new faculty chairs and bolster grant programs for new and established faculty members.
